Food VC Network

What is it?

The Food VC Network is a curated group of venture capital partners formally engaged with the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein. Together, the network provides a full-stack venture pathway from lab to scale, spanning early-stage company creation through to later-stage growth and international expansion. VC partners engage directly with Centre-affiliated startups through investor office hours, founder education, advisory support, talks or events.

Who is it for?

The network is designed for science-led food and biomanufacturing startups emerging from the Centre’s ecosystem, ensuring founders can access the right capital and expertise at the right stage. Early-stage partners support company formation, validation, and founder development, while later-stage investors provide growth capital and scale-up expertise as companies mature.

Our early-stage VC partners include Oyster Bay Venture Capital, Big Idea Ventures, Biotope Ventures, FoodLabs, The Mills Fabrica, and Döhler Ventures. Growth-stage support is complemented by Synthesis Capital, Clay Capital and Beyond Impact, bringing deep expertise from late Series A onwards.

How can VCs get involved?

We are always open to engaging with aligned, sector-focused investors interested in supporting science-driven food innovation. If you are a VC and would like to join the Food VC Network and gain access to high-quality, translational dealflow from the Centre, please let us know through this form.
